Our Mission
Real-time road intelligence for every New Zealander
New Zealand's road network stretches across some of the world's most dramatic terrain — from the volcanic plateau of the central North Island to the alpine passes of the South Island. Weather can change in minutes, and road conditions that looked fine an hour ago can be treacherous now.
KiwiCamsNZ was built to close that gap. It aggregates the national network of NZTA traffic cameras into a single, fast, mobile-friendly dashboard — so commuters, freight drivers, and tourists can check what's actually happening on the road before they leave.
The Developer
Built by a professional engineer, not a side-project
Víctor Alonso is a Computer Engineer (Ingeniero Informático) based in Spain with over a decade of experience building web platforms, mobile applications, and SEO-driven digital products.
Through his studio Walkiria Apps, he has launched more than a dozen live web properties across Spain, the Netherlands, Finland, and New Zealand — covering sectors from traffic infrastructure to recipe aggregation and business directories.
KiwiCamsNZ was created after noticing that New Zealand's camera data, while publicly available, lacked a clean, fast, SEO-optimised interface that worked well on mobile. The platform indexes every camera, highway and region to help Google surface the right feed for any search query.
